Are Your Emails Reaching Their Destination?

There are SO many things to consider when marketing by email. But when executed properly, there is no better media I know of in this day and time.

Because of the numerous sp@m filters in use by the ISP’s you have to be very careful what you type into your messages.

It’s ba_d enough you have to separate the letters a and d in words like the one at the first of this sentence. And the word FREE is a total no no…

But another problem that can keep your email from being delivered are the hyperlinks you include inside you message!

The link you are providing to your readers may be on some or all of the ISP’s “black list”, therefore keeping your email from reaching it’s destination.

If you are going to use a link to someone else’s domain address in your email as a recommendation that your reader visit their site, here is one solution to this potential problem.

Simply go to this site http://www.rulesemporium.com/cgi-bin/uribl.cgi and do a search to see if they are on this ‘black list’ before you include it in your outgoing email broadcast.

Type in the domain name in question, and select ALL RBL then click Check It.

If it shows RED, do not put that domain name in your outgoing email, instead use a redirect link from your domain to theirs.

Don’t have a redirect page?

Not a problem. If you have your own domain and you know how to copy and paste and upload a file to your server, I’ll show you exactly how to do this simple but highly effective method.

You’ll find the code to a basic redirect page you can use here: http://www.papa-joes-best-deals.com/redirect.txt

Just visit that link for the code and complete instructions on how to make this happen!

This method is also an excellent way to send your visitors to an affiliate page without it looking like one of those long drawn out affiliate links…

Now, do keep in mind you can only use this method if you have your own domain. If you don’t, you’ll have to use a redirect service. I am working on getting such a service up and going soon, but for now you will find many others on the Internet.

All in all, if you are mindful of what needs to be done to obtain proper delivery of your emails you will also find this to be a Very useful method of marketing.

My Best to You,
Papa Joe
